Bóc phốt nhân viên Topshop lừa đảo khách hàng Mỹ

April 16th, i went to Saigon center to do some shopping and stopped at Topshop Topman to get a few items.. after looking around, i ended up getting 3 pair of pants for the amount of 2,607,000 VND and left the shop somewhat happy of my new skinny jeans. As i was at the cashier, the girl waited until my vietnamese friend stepped away to look at clothes to ask me, where i was from and how long i was in VN. I answered i was from California. She smiled said Cali was a beautiful place and proceeded to bill me and sign the receipt.

Ngày 16/4, tui tới Saigon Center để đi shopping, rẽ vào Topshop Topman để mua vài cái quần jeans hết 2,607,000đ. Khi thanh toán, cô thu ngân đợi người bạn vn tui đi ra chỗ khác rồi hỏi tui đến từ đầu và tui ở vn được bao lâu rồi. Tui trả lời tui đến từ Cali. Cô ấy mỉm cười khen Cali rất đẹp và thanh toán, ký vào bill cho tui

Last night, getting ready to check and pay my credit card bills, i was stunned.. The scam was soo big that it was actually ridiculous..

Topshop cashier number 01030 charged my credit card for the amount of $9044,00 for 3 pair of pants.

Tối hôm qua, tui mở lịch sử thẻ credit và thấy bất ngờ vl. Lừa tui quả lớn và ngớ ngẩn vãi. Nhân viên Topshop số 01030 thanh toán thẻ của tui hết 9044$ cho 3 cái quần.

This afternoon, my friend and i returned to the store to complain and as we arrived , it was the same girl at the cash register and she tried to run away. We caught her and told her we will call the cops if she doesn’t bring the manager immediately.

Chiều nay, tui và bạn quay lại shop để hỏi cho rõ, vẫn thu ngân đấy và khi thấy tui cô ấy đã bỏ chạy, tui túm được ngay và yêu cầu gặp quản lý ngay lập tức nếu k sẽ gọi công an. 

She had deliberately charged my credit card that amount believing i was flying out of Vietnam soon and would have not noticed it until i was in the US.

Cô ta cố ý thanh toán thẻ tui khoản đó nếu tui bay khỏi vn sớm và nghĩ tui sẽ không biết gì cho đến khi quay lại Mỹ...

Long story short, after 2 hours of threatening and yelling the manager tried to explain to me that they looked on the internet to find me and told me they had noticed the big amount being charged but thought i had left the country. I told them why didn’t they cancel the amount, they all nervously smiled and said they will reverse that amount back to my account. My bank is aware of the fraud and already reported them.

Sau 2 tiếng đe dọa tụi này thì quản lý giải thích rằng họ không tìm thấy tui trên mạng và nghĩ tui về nước cmnr :. Tui hỏi sao biết vậy không hủy thanh toán đấy đi thì chúng nó cười sợ sệt và bảo SẼ trả lại cho tui. Ngân hàng đã nhận ra sự lừa đảo và đã báo cáo tụi nó

Folks , i understand this is a beautiful but yet a “survival mode” mentality here in vietnam, but be aware of this kind of credit card scamms..

Tui biết mọi người nghĩ tui đã may mắn nhưng thật sự ở Việt Nam giống như đang sinh tồn vậy(ý nói ở vn lúc nào cũng phải để ý nếu không sẽ bị hại). 

It was not the first time they did this at this Topshop location to foreign customers.

Today was a lady also complaining of being overcharged for an item she bought..

Đây cũng không phải lần đầu họ làm chuyện như vậy đồi với khách du lịch nước ngoài, hôm nay cũng có 1 người đến nói rằng họ bị như tui vậy

I have to return tomorrow to pick up the form stating their overcharged and promise to refund...

Ngày mai tui sẽ trở lại để lấy giấy tờ chi tiết họ đã thanh toán quá và hứa sẽ trả lại.

Hope my post will avoid fellow expats from being robbed.

Chiều 16/4, nam du khách người Mỹ có tên Keenan Nathan đã ghé mua 3 chiếc quần ở Topshop Topman Saigon Centre (phường Bến Nghé, quận 1, TP.HCM. Tổng hóa đơn hết 2,6 triệu và được thanh toán tất cả bằng thẻ tín dụng. Tuy nhiên khi về nhà, anh Nathan mới tá hỏa nhận ra tài khoản ngân hàng đã bị trừ hết 9.000 USD (tương đương hơn 206 triệu đồng), gấp gần 100 lần so với giá trị thực của hóa đơn.Theo anh Nathan, khi nhận ra được sai sót trong việc thanh toán, anh cùng bạn quay trở lại Topshop Topman thì nữ nhân viên thu ngân thực hiện thanh toán 3 chiếc quần cho anh đã… có hành vi bỏ chạy.
